From Google News Search: "banner exchanges" where is the address when creating a banner for traffic exchanges? Q. ok, i made a banner to use in traffic exchanges, but to install it you have to have a http address, when i click properties the locacation address does not have http, and when i add it, it doesn't work, any help would be great, thanks Asked by randy_ishere - Fri Feb 27 08:13:16 2009 - - 1 Answers - 1 Comments A. Any image that requires an http:// address MUST be online either on your own site or hosted at some image hosting service like ImageShack.com, PhotoBucket.com or Flickr.com. Once uploaded to a server click on the details, links or DIRECT link given to the image. It MUST be the DIRECT link where the image stands alone in your browser. I know that link exchanges help a website's ranking in search engines like Google, but does a banner exchange do the same? Because isn't a link to your website technically on a different website, counting as a linkback? Or, because the banners are constantly rotated with other websites' banners, it doesn't count? Asked by jbishum - Thu Aug 23 13:07:01 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. It doesn't help your ranking. It does help the site that is advertising, especially if your site has a high PR. Reciprocal links don't do much for your site anymore. If you want to increase your ranking fast, there is a step-by-step method I used to get my site to #1 on Google for a product I sell - and I can prove it. I wrote more about it on my blog below: Answered by BillyA - Fri Aug 24 10:33:03 2007 Adapting my banner so it can be placed on other websites?
Q. As an experiment, I created a banner that could link to my website, and I put it on my website. When I click it on, I get directed to my website's home page so it's working. But for banner exchanges, I'm requested to add the http address of the banner. The original banner with its coding is on my hard drive. How do I alter or adapt the banner code so I can place it on a banner exchange site and it will link to my website? Right now, when I've tried to install it on other sites, it doesn't work. It doesn't have any http location embeded in it. How do I put it there? Thanks Asked by holacarinados - Tue Jan 12 12:07:05 2010 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. You can't! (Unless it is a Flash banner, but then, you will encounter cross-domain problems!) A banner is just an image: it cannot have anything "embedded" in it. To become a link, it needs a bit of coding... To put that banner on another site, the coder of the site must interveine, writing a little piece of code, like: Answered by just "JR" - Tue Jan 12 12:19:57 2010 From Yahoo Answer Search: "banner exchanges" |
