Sometimes the term "material" is used more narrowly to refer to substances or components with certain physical properties that are used as inputs to production or manufacturing. You should defonitaly try some fake toy planes and other objects and maybe sit them on something so the whole thing isn't touching the ground or surface :] I did the same thing just on cars tie string (really really light string or else it won't work) on a hair blow dryer. turn the hair dryer on and point it to the planes and see how they move around the plane - i you studied it right- you will be able to know what the string directions mean (drag and stuff like that) I hope it works out for you.
